Television host, Entertainment Reporter, News Anchor, Producer, and Actress - Suzanne Sena is a multi-talented television professional.
Called the “first breakout star of 2011” and “ the best casting choice of the decade” by reviewers for her portrayal of lead anchor Brooke Alvarez, on IFC’s satirical news series, the Onion News Network, Sena has been receiving critical acclaim in publications ranging from Entertainment Weekly to Time to USA Today since the show debuted in January.
Her spot-on portrayal of the cable news star comes from real-life broadcasting experience. From 2006-2008, Sena was a breaking news anchor on the Fox News Channel.. Prior to that, she worked as an anchor/reporter for the CBS affiliate in Dallas.
Sena is also known as an entertainment reporter and television host. She first gained international attention and an Emmy nomination as the host of the popular show, Celebrity Homes on the E!, and traveled the globe interviewing celebrities for the network’s entertainment news show, E! News Daily. She also reported live from the red carpets of several major industry awards shows, including the Emmys, Golden Globes and Academy Awards.
Additionally, Sena was a correspondent for the nationally syndicated entertainment news show, Extra…and her interviewing ability and easy-going style made her a contender for co-host position and a recurring guest-host with TV Legend Regis Philbin on the nationally syndicated talk show, Live with Regis.
Along with her reporting and hosting skills, Sena has also maintained an acting career. She has guest-starred on numerous sitcoms and series, including the The Drew Carey Show, Zoey 101, and The Guiding Light…and appeared in the movies Death and Texas, Lakeshore Drive, and the upcoming Who the F is Buddy Applebaum. An accomplished voice-over artist, her voice can also be heard on several national commercials.
